Ndutu Safari Lodge 4*

Overlooking Lake Ndutu in attractive acacia woodland surrounded by the short grass plains of the southeastern Serengeti.

During the rains, the lodge is at the very center of the famous wildebeest migration, accompanied by thousands of gazelles, zebras, and many predators. Birdlife is prolific and more than 400 species have been recorded.

Location of Ndutu Safari Lodge

The lodge is situated near the boundary of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Serengeti National Park. Seronera is in the center of the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater is just an 80 km drive away. Ndutu lies at the head of the world-famous Olduvai Gorge, where fossils of early hominids were found. In the distance, dormant volcanoes from the mighty backdrop of the Ngorongoro Highlands.

It offers an open-sided dining room and bar to make the most of incredibly fresh air and views beneath plenty of grand makuti thatch and wooden beams. Each night a campfire is lit beneath the stars whilst serval cats scuttle across the rafters for snacks. Leisure facilities include game drives, bush breakfasts* and bushwalk*.
