After breakfast, you will depart from Arusha and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which takes approximately 5 hours.
On arrival, you will descend into the crater for a wonderful game drive and a picnic lunch. The deep volcanic crater supports a large resident population of wildlife. It is one of the world’s greatest natural spectacles, and its magical setting and abundant wildlife never fail to enthral visitors.
It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be seen in their natural habitat. As very few animals migrate out of the crater due to its high walls, there is a high concentration of wildlife, and you can expect to see:
- Lion
- Elephant
- Zebra
- Hippo
- Flamingo
- Jackal
and many other species, including all the Big 5. After your game drive, we will proceed to your camp or lodge for dinner.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Serengeti National Park (160 km, 3 to 4 hours)
After breakfast, we will depart for Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge. Olduvai Gorge is an archaeological site located in the eastern Serengeti plains, in which some of the earliest human fossils were discovered.
Serengeti National Park has an amazing landscape that resulted from the same tectonic forces that created the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago. It is one of the world’s greatest wildlife refuges, containing an estimated three million large animals, most of which take part in a seasonal migration that is one of nature’s wonders. The park covers an area of 14,763 sq km. The name Serengeti comes from the Maasai word ‘siringet’, meaning endless plains.
You will arrive at this magical park in time for lunch, after which we will go on the afternoon game drive, in search of the different species this park has to offer.
- Overnight in Serengeti National Park
- Accommodation at your camp or lodge
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner included
- Drinking water is provided. All other drinks are extra.
Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
The Central Serengeti offers superb game viewing all year round due to its abundance of resident animals. Specifically, the Seronera River Valley in the Central Serengeti is a ‘must-see’ on every safari, regardless of the month of travel.
Game viewing in Central Serengeti is at its best during the dry season (June – November) as resident animals are more concentrated in the immediate area due to the lack of water on the plains. Resident herbivores include impala, buffalo, hippo, warthog, topi, hartebeest and giraffe. Resident carnivores include lion and leopard.
After a full day in Serengeti National Park, we will return to our camp or lodge.
