Maasai Mara Sopa Lodge was one of the 1st lodges to be built in Maasai Mara National Reserve on the slopes of Oloongams Hills. The lodge is built in an ethnic design surrounded by a rich landscape covered in fauna from huge desert cacti and sweet smelling jasmine flowers.
Maasai Mara Sopa Lodge is 240km away from Nairobi taking 5 hours on the road or an hour to fly to the nearest airstrip just 30 minutes away from the lodge.

Accommodation
Mara Sopa Lodge is graced with 50 traditional round buildings with thatched roofs each with 2 rooms. There is a honeymoon suite for a new couple which wants a perfect place to kick start their new life together. It is situated at the top of the property with an uninterrupted view of the Oloongama hills. The room is very spacious with a king size bed set on a platform. It has an en suite bathroom with a sunken bath and shower. A verandah completes the room at the front where the couple can watch the sun set or have privately served meals instead of going to the restaurant.
