Serengeti Wilderness North & Ndutu ‘seasonal’ camps The Serengeti North Wilderness Camp is in the Kogatende area, the northern-most corner of the Serengeti National Park and is generally open July-October. This relatively isolated spot overlooks the Mara River and is just a few kilometers from one of the recognized ‘crossing points’ for the wildebeest migration.

This intimate camp has a maximum of twelve tents, all eco-friendly and designed in such a way as to take advantage of the surrounding bush and nature in terms of location, setting and general layout.

The Ndutu Wilderness Camp, located in the Ndutu area of the Serengeti ecosystem, typically opens from December-March, which coincides with the ‘calving season’. It is located in a private site, in the heart of the Ndutu plains – nestled under shady trees.

There is a comfortable lounge tent with a small reference library, maps, children’s games and facilities to recharge cameras and video recorders. Delicious meals, including those for special diets, are served in the dining tent. In the evening enjoy snacks and sundowners around a campfire whilst relating the day’s sightings and experiences. Attentive staff will endeavor to attend to your every need throughout your stay. Game drives in the Serengeti and guided walking safaris from the camp are all accompanied by professional guides. Multi-day wilderness trails in wilderness areas can be arranged, and are accompanied by a support crew. Balloon safaris, which must be booked in advance, are a great way to view the stunning surrounds.

Accommodation at Serengeti Wilderness North & Ndutu ‘seasonal’ Camps

Between ten and twelve spacious tents with comfortable beds and quality linen. A dressing area leads to an eco-friendly toilet and a bush shower. Each tent has a shady verandah, where guests can relax and watch the animals and some of the multitude of birds in the area.
