Itinerary
Day 1: Airport Pick-up to your hotel (11 km, 30 minutes)
When you land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport we will be there to greet you and take you to your hotel, Eka Hotel in the
heart of Nairobi. You have the chance to explore the city at your own pace on this day, and can choose to take in the sights or avail
yourself of the top rate facilities such as the spa and swimming pool at the hotel.
Included in your first night’s stay in Nairobi is:

- Overnight stay in the centre of Nairobi
- Dinner, breakfast and lunch not included

Day 2: Nairobi - Tsavo East National Park (425 km, 6 to 7 hours)
After breakfast at your hotel, we will depart towards Tsavo East National Park. The journey through the south of Kenya will give
you the chance to take in the landscape and see local life pass you by.
You’ll pass over Aruba Dam, and the reservoir that is home to many water birds, on the way to your accommodation in the park,
where you will arrive in time for lunch. The afternoon will be spent on a game drive through the park where you have the
opportunity to spot:
- Elephants
- Gazelles
- Giraffes
- Monkeys
- Zebras
And many more.
After your first day in the park, you will return to your accommodation for your evening meal. The second day of your safari
experience in Kenya includes:
- Accommodation at your camp or lodge
- Overnight stay inside Tsavo East National Park
- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Drinking water, other drinks are extra
Day 3: Tsavo East National Park - Tsavo West National Park (217 km, 3 to 4 hours)
This morning gives you your first chance to watch the early morning changes that spill across the savanna as the sun rises. Animals
emerge ready for the day of hunting, grazing, or scavenging and the nocturnal animals return to their slumber. You have the chance
to watch this change first hand and use the dawn light to get some magnificent photographs.
You’ll return to your lodge or camp for breakfast and then depart to Tsavo West National Park. Part of the same territory and
intersected by a road, you will be on a game drive as you move between the parks. This is one of the most biodiverse regions in the
world and your chances of seeing many animals in their natural habitat is incredibly high.
To make sure you get as much time as possible in the wilds of Africa, you will have a picnic lunch inside the park which will be
followed by a visit to Mzima Springs. These natural volcanic springs play host to hippos and Nile crocodiles, among many other
animals.
Dinner will be served overlooking the watering hole so you can spend plenty of time watching the natural lifecycle on the savanna.

Day 4: Full Day in Tsavo West National Park
Once you’ve had breakfast, you will be head into the park for a game drive. This expedition should afford you chances to see the big
five of African safari, along with the other famous animals of the African plains.
Keeping you as close to the gorgeous landscape as possible, you’ll be given lunch as a picnic right in the middle of the park.
Afternoon will see you progress your trip through the reserve, one of the largest in Africa and home to over 500 species of bird as
well as mammalian life.
After spending all day inside the park, you will return to your camp or lodge in time for dinner. The fourth day of the safari in Africa
includes:

- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Day 5: Tsavo West National Park - Amboseli National Park (154 km, 3 to 4 hours)
With another early start, you will head into the park to once again watch to dawn break over the plains and rivers of Tsavo West.
Take in the animals as they prepare for the day, watering and feeding in the cool morning hours.
Once you’ve had breakfast back at your accommodation, you will be driven to Amboseli National Park, including a game drive as
you make your way through the parks and between your lodges or camps. Lunch is another picnic in the heart of the national park,
allowing you time to take in the scenery that rolls all around you.
Arriving at your accommodation in Amboseli National Park, you’ll be given your evening meal and time to rest and ready yourself
for the next big day on African safari. Included in the fifth day of your Kenyan safari is:

Day 6: Full Day in Amboseli National Park
Possibly the most photogenic of all the national parks in Kenya, Mount Kilimanjaro looms large as a backdrop for the images you
create of Amboseli. You’ll be taken into the park after you’ve had breakfast at your camp or lodge, where you’ll spend the morning
spotting:
- Elephants
- Lions
- Cheetahs
- Buffalo
- Zebras
And many more majestic creatures besides.
Following a picnic lunch, you will continue your exploration of the park and be given a chance at an optional visit to a Masai village.
The Masai people are known and respected the world over for their relationship with the grasslands of East Africa: their nomadic
life grazing their animals across the plains gives them a unique insight into thriving in this land. A trip to the village has an extra cost
of $20 per person, which will include a greeting in traditional song and dance, time to walk around the village to learn about their
culture, and see inside a typical family home.
Your evening meal will be served at your accommodation. The sixth day on your safari in Africa includes:

- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Day 7: Amboseli National Park - Lake Naivasha (310 km, 5 to 6 hours)
After spending the previous day with Kilimanjaro, this early morning start should give you chance to catch her snow-capped peak
before the clouds roll in for the day. You also get your third experience of the tranquillity of dawn over the rolling lands, this time in
Amboseli, and sightings of animals in their natural habitat.
Following breakfast back at your accommodation, your tour guide will embark on the journey to Lake Naivasha National Park with
you. Lunch will be provided at your accommodation at Lake Naivasha and you will have the afternoon to spend at your leisure.
As the evening approaches we will take you on a boat ride to Crescent Island within the lake, where you will go on a walking safari
to see the herbivores such as hippos and zebras. Your evening activities will be punctuated by dinner at your accommodation.

Day 8: Lake Naivasha - Lake Nakuru National Park (92 km, 2 hours)
The lakes of the Great African Rift Valley are home to stunning mammals and an array of avian life. Your African safari will move
from Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru as you progress through this volcanic and dynamic landscape.
Upon arrival at your accommodation at Lake Nakuru you will be given lunch and then hit out on a game drive through the national
park. This lake is known for the flocks of flamingo that change the colour of the landscape from the rocky reds and watery blues to
all shades of pink as they feed and display across the waters.
This location is truly an ornithologist’s pleasure land, with more than 400 species on show, including
- White pelicans
- Plovers
- Egrets
- Marabou stalks
And plenty more. There is also chance to see both the black and white rhino, as well as the endangered Rothschild giraffe.
Your trip will arrive back at your camp or lodge in the early evening in time for dinner to be served. Day eight of your Kenyan safari
includes:

Day 9: Lake Nakuru National Park - Masai Mara National Reserve (300 km, 5 to 6 hours)
Farewells can be bade to the animals of Lake Nakuru on the game drive that will take your out of the park after breakfast. The
journey from the lakes to the Masai Mara travels through the countryside of Kenya, with scenery that will take your breath away.
You will arrive at your Masai Mara camp or lodge in time for lunch which will be swiftly followed by an afternoon game drive which
will see you through to dusk. The Masai Mara provides a home to myriad animals synonymous with the plains of Africa, and they sit
in wait for you to discover them in their natural home.
Returning to your accommodation for your evening meal, you can rest and ready yourself for a day getting to the heart of this
spectacular landscape. This day on safari in Kenya includes:

Day 10: Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve
Safari in the Masai Mara is a special experience – the numbers of animals that go about their lives across these plains are astounding.
Acacia trees provide shade for leopards; water holes provide sustenance for herbivores and hunting opportunities for the carnivores.
Your expert Kenyan tour guide will be on hand to track, spot, and identify the wildlife that you encounter on your first full day spent
inside the park. Lunch is served as a picnic, keeping you connected to the landscape and immersed in the nature you’re here to
experience.
In the afternoon you have another chance to visit a village of Masai people. Nomads who have thrived across these lands for
thousands of years, they will display their warm greeting of song and dance for you, and give you time to explore their village and
visit a house. This is an optional activity that has an additional fee of $20 per person.
You’ll return to your camp or lodge for dinner to be served. The tenth day of this African safari experience includes:

Day 11: Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve
Take the early breakfast as an opportunity to head out in the morning sun to get the best photos of the park. You’ll spend your
second full day on safari in the Masai Mara watching the animals, following their trails, and understanding the lifecycles of the
delicate and exquisite ecosystems at play in the landscape.
Lunch as a picnic ensures you get to stay in the wilds of Africa for as long as possible, without tracking back to your
accommodation. If you’re lucky enough to be on safari in Africa during the migrations of the herds, this is your perfect chance to
trace them. Herds of buffalo and wildebeest range over the lands looking for pastures new to graze.
As you explore the depths of the park, you will have chance to watch the sun begin to fall and the wildlife change pace as the
temperature dips. Animals come to life and get their final feed and watering before the sun goes down and their territory becomes
immeasurably more dangerous.
Your day is completed by dinner taken at your camp or lodge. This final complete day on safari in Kenya includes:

Day 12: Masai Mara National Reserve – Nairobi (265 km, 5 to 6 hours)
Following breakfast, you will take your swansong game drive through Masai Mara as you embark on your journey back to Nairobi.
There will still be plenty of animals to see as you depart the park, and stunning scenery en route as you progress through the Great
African Rift Valley.
A stop off in the town of Narok allows time to have a traditional Kenyan lunch experience. Upon arriving in Nairobi, we can offer
to drop you off at your residence, hotel, or at the airport for your onward travel plans.
