Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara Game Reserve (265 km – 5 to 6 hrs)
You will be picked up early from your accommodation in Nairobi and start to make your way to the Masai Mara. The journey takes you through the Great African Rift Valley and there will be opportunities to stop and allow you to take in the vistas and take photos to preserve your memories.
Lunch is arranged at a local village, consisting of traditional Kenyan food, before you finally reach the Masai Mara Game Reserve and settle into your accommodation. Your first game drive will be this same afternoon, with your first chance to catch a glimpse of the wild animals that have brought you to such a majestic part of the world. Look out for

- Giraffes
- Buffalo
- Elephants
And many more stars of the savannah.
The evening is spent at your camp or lodge, where dinner will be served. Your first day on safari in Kenya will include:

Day 2: Full day exploring Masai Mara Game Reserve
Be ready to undertake an adventure that will last the whole day, as you undertake your journey around the Masai Mara for a full day of game rides. There is an abundance of wild animals for your viewing pleasure, with opportunities to see migrations, grazing, and natural behaviour in this home of some of the greatest animals on the planet.
The Masai Mara offers some of the best chances to see animals such as cheetahs and leopard hiding among the acacia boughs that dot the rolling landscape. Lunch is served picnic style during your game drive, keeping you close to the nature you’ve travelled so far to see.
As well as the wildlife, the park is home to the tribe of Masai warriors. Their bravery is known the world over in their battles with the animals of the savannah, and they welcome you into the culture with traditional song and dance. You have chance to witness their culture and visit a home to better know their extraordinary way of life. This visit is optional and there is an extra fee of US$20 applicable.

Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park
Before breakfast, you will be taken on an early morning game drive to see how the Masai Mara moves from night time to day break. After returning to your lodge or camp for sustenance, you will depart towards Lake Nakuru through the Great African Rift Valley.
Flocks of flamingos have made Lake Nakuru their home, and they take over the blue waters with their stunning pink feathers – so coloured from the algae in the lake they feed in. More than four hundred other birds make this lake their home, and your African safari guide will help you spot such stunning avian species as:
- White pelicans
- Plovers
- Egrets
- Marabou stalks
After taking your chance to also spot black and white rhino, as well as Rothschild giraffes, you will go to your accommodation with in the national park for dinner to be served.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park – Amboseli National Park (384 km, 6 to 7 hours)
An early morning game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park starts the day before breakfast is served in your lodge or camp. Your day will be spent traversing the Kenyan countryside through the Great African Rift Valley and having chance to appreciate the splendour of this most ancient of landscapes.
Lunch is served during your journey, and you’ll reach Amboseli National Park in time for dinner to be served in your camp or lodge accommodation. Take time to relax and rejuvenate before your day or exploration starts the next morning.

Day 5: Full Day exploring Amboseli National Park
The day begins with an early start to give you chance to see the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro before the clouds roll in. Game driving is the order of the day, affording you ample opportunity to witness some of the awe-inspiring animals of the Amboseli.
This park is famed for its herds of elephants, and is also home to animals such as
- Giraffes
- Wildebeest
- Baboons
- Hyenas
- Lions
And many more that your Kenyan safari guide will be able to adeptly assist you in spotting.
Another chance to visit a village of the Masai is presented as an optional extra after breakfast. You will be greeted in the traditional way, with singing and dancing. You have chance to explore their culture and traditions as nomads of the plains of Africa. For this activity there is an additional charge of US$20.
On your fifth day on safari in Kenya, there is included:

Day 6: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi by Road, Nairobi to Diani by Plane (265 km, 5 to 6 hours, 1 hour 30 minutes’ flight)
After six days traversing the national parks, reserves, and lakes of Kenya, spotting myriad animals it’s time for a change of pace on your honeymoon safari trip. After you’ve had breakfast it’s back on the road to Nairobi and the opportunity to watch the countryside go by – this is one of the most fertile stretches of Kenya.
In the capital city, we will take you to lunch at the famed Carnivore restaurant, then take you to Wilson Airport for you to catch your scheduled, domestic flight to Ukunda at the coastal city of Mombasa. We will ensure that you have a transfer from the airport to take you down the coast to the idyllic town of Diani.
Your evening arrival will be perfectly timed for you to have dinner at the romantic hotel you have chosen. This is the time to relax and unwind, rest your weary bones after days in vehicles and air conditioning. The beach awaits you in the morning. Day six of this, your honeymoon safari, includes:

Day 7: Relaxation at Diani
With all of your meals included in your honeymoon safari package, there is little to concern yourself with except making it to the dining room on time. The beach at Diani is pristine, white sand that feels as if it melts between your toes as you walk down the coastline and dip your feet in the warm, lapping waves of the Indian Ocean.
Water sports are an option for the adventurous honeymooners, along with other excursions that will incur extra costs and can be booked locally. You can go snorkeling, take a glass bottomed boat journey over the perfectly clear waters, or jump out of plane in a tandem jump if that’s what a romantic getaway looks like to you.
The relaxation and unplanned time offers a welcome contrast to the planned nature of your safari, and you can take your time to reflect on everything you’ve done on this holiday of a lifetime so far. This day of your honeymoon safari includes:

Day 8: Relaxation at Diani
Along with the active days that are possible in Diani, you can take your first trip to the beach as a married couple and while away the day with pure relaxation. Whether you choose to spend endless hours soaking up the sun and drinking coconuts on the beaches, or laze by the pool with room and bar service on hand, you will make sure you’ll be heading home refreshed.
Spa treatments can easily be organised whilst in Diani too, usually the hotel that you choose will be able to offer options such as:
- Massages
- Facials
- Body scrubs
- Sauna and steam rooms

Again, you can take all of your meals at your hotel or resort, taking the difficulty of deciding which delicious meal to have that night. Be sure to try the local seafood, since it’s what you do when at the coast.

Day 9: Diani/ Mombasa – Nairobi by Plane (1 hour 30 minutes)
After a final breakfast at your hotel or resort, you will be taken to Ukunda airport in time for your scheduled flight back to the capital of Kenya, Nairobi. This is the last chance to garner some understanding of the landscape of Kenya, with plains, grasslands, and dormant volcanoes showing you the most ancient history of the nation.
Once in the capital city, you will be treated again to another meal at the well-renowned restaurant of Carnivore. From here, you can request that your driver take you to the international airport for an onward flight, or ask that you be taken to a hotel or residence in Nairobi, depending on your not steps.
